In response of our ever changing society it must be noted that The Girls Nite Out Club is a woman's club and is ONLY open to women for membership. The club is not open to transsexual women unless they are post-op.
Racial and ethnocultural harassment (defined as demeaning treatment based on race and ethnicity): This form of discrimination is prohibited under the Ontario Human Rights Code and will not be tolerated within the club. Any member who exhibits such behaviour will have their membership immediately revoked without refund.
The club offers the opportunity for members to communicate with fellow club members through the Yahoo message board and live chat room. Please conduct yourself appropriately when posting messages or engaging in live chats so as to not offend other members. The message board is not to be used for solicitation or as a political forum. Messages deemed inappropriate will be removed. Should any member violate this policy by posting offensive or inappropriate messages your future postings will require approval by the club moderator and your membership may be cancelled, without refund, at the discretion of the club moderator.
While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
Photographs will often be taken at club events for the club photo album and some will be posted on the online photo album on the club website. The club albums will be brought to new member Meet & Greet events for viewing. Your photograph will not be used for any printed advertising materials without your prior approval.
As a courtesy to other club members, please arrive to events on time. The event coordinator is under no obligation to wait for late-comers before starting an event.
If less than five people have RSVP'd for an event, it is at the event coordinator's discretion to hold or cancel the event. You will be notified via e-mail if the event has been cancelled.
If an event is cancelled due to severe weather conditions, such as a snow storm, members will be notified via email and the cancellation will be posted on the website. In the event of a blackout please telephone the club line to confirm the event.
When booking for a large group, we are sometimes able to negotiate group discounts. These discounts will be passed on to club members. If you have contacts in the business community who would be interested doing business with the club by offering a group discount in their establishment, please contact an event coordinator to share this information.
Club events are sometimes hosted in licensed establishments. Members are expected to drink responsibly. If a member becomes intoxicated to the point that your event coordinator has to intervene or you attempt to drive while under the influence, your membership will be cancelled immediately, without refund. The club needs to be a safe and fun place for everyone and violations of this type will not be tolerated.
As a member, you are expected to conduct yourself in an appropriate manner at all times when participating in club events, interacting with fellow club members and when representing yourself as a member of The Girls Nite Out Club. Should a member violate the Club Policies we reserve the right to cancel membership permanently, without refund.
Please DO NOT solicit fellow members during events, through the message / chat boards or through e-mail. Many of our members are self-employed and have wonderful products and services to sell, however, the Girls Night Out Club is not the place to seek new customers. The Club is for "socializing" not business networking and needs to remain a "hassle free" zone. If you would like to advertise your product or service, your web link can be posted on the site under the "'Lil Pink Book" tab and should members wish to contact you they can do this via the link. Your cooperation in this matter is very much appreciated.
Most of our events are 'PRE-PAID'. This means that you will be required to RSVP for an event and forward your full payment to reserve your space as your event coordinator is required to pre-pay for the event. Once reservations are confirmed, you are responsible for the event fee unless you have previously notified your event coordinator that you are unable to attend prior to the final confirmation. However, once the event coordinator has confirmed reservations for the event, NO REFUNDS are available. You are welcome to sell your space to another club member or ask your event coordinator to make efforts to sell your space, however, if this is not possible, NO REFUNDS will be available.
Event credits will be issued if you have prepaid but cancelled prior to the confirmation date or if the event was cancelled or rescheduled. Event credits are listed on the members site for tracking. To utilize an event credit you simply need to inform the event coordinator that you would like to apply the credit to an upcoming event. Event credits must be redeemed in full prior to membership expiry. No refunds will be available.
There will be a $25 service fee charged for NSF cheques. Non-payment will result in the membership being suspended until the account is paid in full.
If you have RSVP'd for an event and are no longer able to attend, please notify the event coordinator by email, to let us know. For non prepaid events we work on the honor system and expect that members will be responsible with this. Space is often limited for events, so please respect this rule and allow your fellow club members to enjoy the events if you are unable to attend. If you continually RSVP but do not show at events, you will be required to prepay all upcoming events. As well, your club organizers work hard to obtain group discounts and maintain the clubs integrity within the business community. Over booking an establishment for an event where several members do not show up after confirming reservations reflects negatively on the clubs reputation and our ability to negotiate future club events.
The Girls Nite Out Club event coordinators volunteer their time and skills. The club membership fee goes towards the administrative costs of running the club. A small organizational fee will be added to the cost of events. This fee will go directly to your event coordinator to cover the expense of organizing the event.
When out of town events occur, your event coordinator will arrange for car pooling. If you are able to assist by offering transportation to fellow members, please notify your event coordinator. If you are a passenger in a car pooling arrangement, you will be asked to contribute a small fee to your driver to cover transportation expenses.
